The Adventure Racing World Championships are Coming to Sri Lanka in 2019
The 2018 Adventure Racing World Championships are set to get underway next week on Reunion Island in the Indian Ocean, with competition taking place from November 5-16. But as the world's top AR teams begin to gather on that remote location, the AR World Series has also announced the location for the World Championships next year as well. As you'll see in the clip, the location for next year's event will be Sri Lanka, a place that has yet to host the AR World Championships. Next year's season ending racing will take place from December 3-13 and is set to cover 600 km (372 miles) with an official prize purse of $50,000. As usual, more than 50 teams are expected to compete in the event, although the exact limit has yet to be confirmed.
